World without strangers....but with Boundaries!!!!

**************************

A few friends who read some of my stuff very rightly pointed out that on one hand I speak about Black/White/Brown skin all being same and in the same breath I have different opinion about Africa/West/India as a whole.

The point being made that if all humans are same then why draw a line at the countries border..Why be more concerned about your own country more than any other country..and the reason they give is also not very wrong ...after all, these are all man-made.

But in the true sense,is it really a contradiction!!!..I would tend not to think so.As part of the animal kingdom..and at the top of the chain especially intellectually..there cannot be absolutely any difference between the different kinds of people that we have. And I believe that we will one day reach that level when differences based on colour will no longer be there..My personal experience in Europe and now in Hong Kong tells me that people are inherently nice when it comes to dealing at a personal level..

But similar to other animals, like the different groups of Lion families in the same jungle,we do need to be conscious of the fact that you mind your own families business without interfering in someone's else lives.Just like we have a house and do need that space ... Surely nobody can argue that even this is not real,we are back to pre historic ages then all lying on the same tree...or rather roads now..

So,in the same sense you have a a concept known as Nations and States..and...Charity begins at home...and no better place to call home than India..what say!! Thats why i feel its no contradiction when I put my own family (read India)first before any other!!

Its an argument that this division of human animal at the granularity of national boundaries may go away in the future sometime...Yes maybe possible..but i know for sure its not going to happen before i hit the grave..And if at all it were to happen,it would require this currently imbalanced world to become a "perfect" utopia.. :)

Till then...cheer for and cheers to India!!!!
