Mere Mortals

The mere mortals, they killed and started a war

Justified the killing to end the war

Those who killed to revenge

And killed some more just to make sure

Yes, these mere mortals who made them slaves

Got their brother down to his knees.Stripped him of his dignities

Doing so, they felt so pure

Mere mortals, need we say more

These other mere mortals

Saying we are not like the above

The better meanings of selfish,greed - we are those

These quick guns

Running so fast.Running so hard

Only forgetting what the running is all about

For us, mere mortals, thats how the story goes

Maybe one from another day and another age would look back and say

Mere mortals they were.What conditioning indeed

Running in that circle.Falling down. The deep black hole.
